Sanibel Harbour Adds New Treatments

The Spa At Sanibel Harbour Resort

Offers News New Anti-Aging Treatments

Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa in the Fort Myers, FL, area is now offering Sonya Dakar skin treatment products and is introducing new anti-aging treatments. So you could begin to look like the stars! Dakar has served as a skin consultant for such clients as Hollywood's Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow and Paula Abdul.

Dakar's philosophy is to correct skin imperfections using the purest botanical extracts and healing aromatherapy and to couple that with scientific breakthroughs. What sets these products apart from others?

“They work,” explains Terri Beckham, director of the Spa at Sanibel Harbour Resort Beckham. “The products are results-oriented. They are designed to reduce the effects commonly associated with acne, discoloration, sensitive, irritated and aging skin.”

Beckham notes that the products and new treatments developed by the spa will focus on anti-aging and on reversing sun damage -- common in sun-drenched Florida. She says the goal is to age "well."

New treatments

Anti-Aging Facial: The spa says this new skin treatment provides in-depth cleansing and gentle exfoliation, leaving skin with a long-lasting brilliance -- revealing younger skin. Spa goers might add on a custom green-tea peel for even more therapy. You might also end the treatment with a super light sunscreen with lavender and orange extracts. A 50-minute facial costs $115. With the green-tea peel it's $140.

Cool Blue Facial: This treatment is designed to cool and soothe sensitive skin using bergamot and tangerine extracts to cleanse, balance and repair. The blue azulene mask helps to calm skin while absorbing impurities, pacifying irritation and adding moisture. Marine-source elastin helps to strengthen cells, improve elasticity and soothes skin. The 50-minute facial costs $115.

Eye and Lip Facial: Designed to rehydrate and pamper the delicate eye and lip areas, this facial uses almond and protein-rich wheat germ oil. That's followed by Oxygen Eye Cream to help plump skin cells, improve elasticity and deliver vital oxygen to tired eyes. This 25-minute treatment includes a relaxing décolleté and hand treatment. The cost is $75 for 25 minutes.

Gentlemen’s Skin Care Treatment: Increasingly, men are enjoying spa treatments so the spa has created a facial cleansing and exfoliation designed for men's skin needs. A relaxing mask tightens and firms while a gentle massage detoxifies and enhances muscle tone. The result, the spa says, is a refreshed, clean look. The treatment is priced at $110 for 50 minutes.

Green Tea Peel: This is an add-on option for various facials. Using a deep exfoliation technology that combines lactic acid, green tea and wheat grass, this custom blend is a delicate but effective peel. Reportedly, it can leave skin brighter. It can also can diminish past sun and acne damage. The add-on price is $45.

Following each facial, the guest is given a written analysis of their skin condition along with recommendations for a facial fitness home regimen.

Sonya Dakar products available exclusively at the Spa at Sanibel Harbour include a Triple Action Organic Scrub; Omega 3 Repair Complex; Hydrasoft Lion, Enzyme Peeling Cream, Blue Azulene Mask.
