Drench your Senses at Alabama Adventure
Visitors to Alabama Adventure will find plenty of water-cooling rides for their summer pleasure.*

Ride, glide, roam.
Slide down and take the plunge at Alabama Adventure, 4599 Alabama Adventure Pkwy., Bessemer, AL, just 15 minutes southwest of Birmingham, AL.
Enjoy two-in-one fun: Splash Beach Water Park and a “dry” amusement park. So ride ‘til you’re soaked, ride ‘til you’re tired or do both!
What’s Hot This Summer?
Alabama Adventure delivers many fun and thrilling rides.
Among those is Vertigo. This ride flips riders head over heels as it spins and rises.
Also new is Salamander Bay, a water play area for children 6 and younger.
The newest additions join longtime water park favorites. These include an 800,000-gallon wave pool with an eight-story waterslide that’s lined by a sand beach.
Other popular areas include a Splashdown ride and 25,000-square-foot Castaway Island.
The younger set will love the mini-amusement park.

Get Taken for a Ride
Hold onto your hat and loose change when trying out the roller coasters.
Grab some "air time" on Rampage (shown at left*), one of the nation's fastest and largest wooden coasters.
Or, alternatively head for Zoomerang, a looping, steel boomerang coaster.
For another type of thrill, get "launched" 185 feet in the air at Space Shot.
Sweets and Treats
Hungry? You'll find plenty of munchies throughout Alabama Adventure including burgers, hotdogs, chicken fingers, pizza, subs, fruit, cotton candy, soft pretzels and popcorn.
On Friday nights during the summer, park goers enjoy live entertainment including concerts.
More on the Drawing Board
While rides, shows and water play draw much attention, new amenities are on tap. Southland Entertainment Group, the park's California-based owner, is investing millions of dollars in future park upgrades.
Future plans include construction of a new RV park, campground and 280-suite resort hotel. The hotel will have a conference center and indoor water park.
Originally named Visionland when it opened in 1998, the park was renamed Alabama Adventure in 2006. Some feared visitors might presume the place provided eyeglasses, not thrills.
