Dauphin Island, AL, Debuts
New Travel Web Site
Dauphin Island, AL, has launched its new Web site -- www.dauphinislandcoc.com -- designed for those thinking of vacationing along the white beaches and rolling dunes of the Alabama Gulf Coast.
Created by HomeSpun Websites, was designed under the direction of the Dauphin Island Chamber of Commerce. “Dauphin Island has redesigned the website to be more visual, informative and easier to maneuver,” said Chamber President David Graves.
Most of photos on the site are new and give guests a good sense of the laid-back, getaway nature of this barrier island at the mouth of Mobile Bay on the Gulf of Mexico.
From maritime forests, beachfront accommodations and link-style golfing along the water, to boating and fishing, great eats and a treasure trove of history, Dauphin Island is a destination with many draws.
Links to YouTube.com present the Island through video and music. Articles, new articles, photo and videos will be updated regularly to keep the site fresh, says Graves.
A photo gallery of downloadable images and interactive elements is also planned during the coming months.
“Though the site is 'live' on the Internet, tweaks and updates are still being made,” said Graves. “It’s the kind of Web site that is easy to use. It really gives you an idea of how wonderful it is to live, work and vacation on Dauphin Island.
